2020/2021 School Year ELECTIONS
WNS PA Board
While everything has changed this school year, the role of the PA remains integral. The collaboration between WNS parents, staff & administration is crucial for our community to thrive.
The PA needs innovative, creative individuals to find new ways of bringing our people together in spirit, raising funds for WNS scholarships, fostering our community, and enriching our children’s school experience. We ask any parent who can and is willing to share a portion of time, energy and expertise to join the incredible team and fill the the open positions! (below).

FAQ
How long is the PA Board term? Positions end on June 30th 2021.
I’m new to the school; should I consider joining the Board? Yes. If you are committed to enriching your child’s experience at WNS, nominate yourself for the Board, join a committee, become a class parent or attend the PA meetings. All are great ways to contribute.
I’m thinking about volunteering, but don’t fully understand the positions. Check them out here or email us with specific questions.
How much time is required? Well, it varies for the different positions, and this year because everything is being redefined, it really can be what you make it. For the larger jobs, like President, people often choose to work with a partner to share the work load, and even then it can be over 10 hours a week. Other positions can be as little as a few hours a month. If you are thinking of a position, reach out to chat with someone that has done it before.
What’s in it for me? As a member of the board, you have the opportunity to work with and support the administration, faculty and staff as well as your fellow parents. You place yourself in a position to bring to light issues and ideas, identify and solve problems, and participate in the discussion in the growing school and community. You also demonstrate to your child/children the importance of showing up for your community and its members, of lending yourself to creating something better, collaboratively.
